Are permits required to build your catios?Updated 2 months ago
Generally speaking, in most municipalities, permits are not required for building Habitat Haven catios. This is primarily because our catios are not considered permanent structures, and they do not significantly impact the structural integrity of the home or building. When in doubt, it is always best to check with your local building department/code office.
If you live in an HOA community, they may have some restrictions that could impact your catio design and installation location. We highly recommend checking with your HOA prior to purchasing a catio to ensure your chosen design does not violate their rules & regulations.
