Can a 4-sided catio be attached to a home or structure?Updated a month ago

It is possible to attach a 4-sided catio to a home, building, or other structure if desired. However, it is not generally required for structural stability. 

If you choose to do so, you should select fasteners that are appropriate for the structure (for example, a brick wall would require masonry screws) and pair them with a fender washer. Place the fastener and washer at a cross-section of the mesh grid so when secured, the washer "pinches" the mesh tight to the wall or structure.

Repeat as desired until the catio is secured well in place.

Alternatively, you may choose a 3-sided catio for this type of application. This catio leaves the wall of the catio nearly open against the house for ease of access for the cats.
