How are your catios made?Updated 2 months ago

Habitat Haven catios and catio components (as well as many of our accessories!) are handcrafted in our workshop in Lapeer, Michigan. Each item is made to order so that you have the option to customize nearly anything we offer. 

Our catios are fabricated with heavy-duty wire mesh panels that feature a 2" square grid pattern. This ensures your pets are safe inside the enclosure while keeping the view minimally obstructed.

All metal components are made of stainless steel or galvanized steel with a black powder coat finish so you and your pets can enjoy the catio for years to come!

Unless noted otherwise, all wooden accessories are made using natural Western red cedar boards which is naturally resistant to rot, mold, mildew, and pests (like fleas!).
