All of our cedar floor, shelves, and other accessories are made of natural, untreated cedar planks. Cedar is naturally resistant to rot, mold/mildew, and even repels some insects & pests. Left untreated, it can withstand most environments for several years before requiring replacement (cedar is a popular choice for many outdoor projects because of this).

Additionally, many stains and sealants contain chemicals that may be toxic to cats, so we opt to keep our boards natural and leave it up to you if you'd like to treat them in any way.
